WHY  SAVE  LIVES ? 

The great empires of the world have included Asian and other regional powers. We are specifically looking at Empires that have dominated Jews over the ages. Through world history, many great Empires have dominated the Middle East:

• The Egyptian Empire, which enslaved the Jews and finally let them go back to Israel with Moses.
• The Assyrian Empire, where Shalmanezer scattered 10 of the 12 Judean tribes of Israel into exile.
• The Babylonian Empire , where Nebuchadnezzar carried the last 2 tribes of Israel into exile.
• The Medo-Persian Empire, where Haman attempted to have every Jew killed but was thwarted.
• The Greek Empire, where Antiochus Epihanes of Syria laid siege to Jerusalem in one of the bloodiest battles Israel ever faced.
• The Roman Empire, where Titus sacked Jerusalem, killing 1.1 million Jews and enslaving the rest.
• The Ottoman/Muslim Empire in the East, which bested the Byzantine eastern wing of the Roman Christian church.
• The Third Reich of the Nazis, which joined with Muslim factions to exterminate 6 million Jews and control Palestine.
• The Arab and Muslim Empire, not yet fully coordinated but with its greatest strength in a re-forming Turkey,  which only temporarily took a secular and less anti-Semitic turn in the 20th Century, before returning  to its Sharia Muslim Ottoman ways recently, having been rejected as a full member of the EC, in part due to Western concerns about future immigration pressure.

Will this last empire return to be the one prophesied by Zecharia and Ezekiel to attack Jerusalem and kill 2/3 of Israel's inhabitants? Believers wonder ...  though of course no one can know for sure.

New York City is about to let an 18-story Mosque be built in view of and within a block of the World Trade Center blast sites. This is insensitive at best, and empire-building at worst. The tactic fits into a patteern of conquest and destruction of holy sites by Muslims who then build Mosques atop previous holy ground, generally eradicating all traces of previous occupation.

NY City Mayor Bloomberg is a blinded Jew suffering from Dome-on-the-Temple Syndrome (DOTS), he is about to let Islam create another victory monument like Jerusalem and like Hagia Sofia in Constantinople (or Istanbul as it is now known).

Are we too sensitive in America about this? A new, modestly culturally-sensitive trend might hold an answer: build a single center where all religions can worship and have peaceful co-existence. Neither religious intimidation, grandiosity, legal imperialism, nor scent or noise pollution would be allowed.
