WHY  SAVE  LIVES ?

Likely a goodly number of the Jews that Calmeyer was able to save, ultimately became involved in the cause and the accelerated re-population of the land of Israel after the war:

In 1948, a Jewish homeland was re-established in the British sector of Palestine. Some 2500 years after the Jews and their forebears had first settled the Promised Land (550BC), some 2000 years after the destruction of their temple by the Romans (70AD), 3 years after a world war that was the Holocaust for 6 million of their race, Jews moved back into a barren and unsettled sliver of land in the midst of Arabia. They bought and were given land however that did not include their former Capital, Jerusalem, which had since its post-Jew and then post-Christian days now been lightly occupied by people from Jordan and elsewhere. In 1949, failing in their attempt to push the new Israeli Jews into the sea, the Arabs lost Jerusalem in battle and have been threatening to win it back again ever since.

Israel was planned well before Hitler took power. The History of Zionism and then Israel is described by Daniel Greenfield:

The goal of Zionism was to create a Jewish state in the land of Israel,  the ancestral home of the Jewish people, from which they were repeatedly  forcibly expelled and to which they repeatedly struggled and sacrificed to return to. The Palestinian Mandate of the League of Nations under  British authority where a Jewish homeland was supposed to be created  consisted of 43,000 square miles bordering Iraq, Syria and Saudi Arabia. A vast territory.

Of that 43,000 square miles, 32,500 square  miles (more than 75 percent) were used by the British to create Jordan  ruled by the Hashemite kings transferred over from Saudi Arabia, which  was given to the house of Saud. In 1931 the British attempted to limit  Jewish immigration in violation of the Mandate and were thwarted by the  League of Nations. In 1939 the League of Nations was gone and as the  Nazis began their Final Solution of the Jewish question, the British  succeeded in blocking escape to Israel. Millions of Jews died in the  Holocaust who could have lived because the British diverted ships they  took from America under the Lend-Lease act to block fleeing Jews. Their  blood is on the Empire's hands.

The British incited Arab riots against Jews, as Lawrence of Arabia had previously incited Arab revolts  against the Turks. One such attack wiped out the Jewish community in  Hevron. The British did nothing against to prevent the attacks but  disarmed and suppressed the Jewish settlers at every turn. In Jerusalem  they handed over two Jewish fighters outright to an Arab mob which tore  them apart on the spot.

By the time the Jews of Europe were under the German knife, it had long since become clear that England had no  intention of honoring the mandate. That England did not want a Jewish  state. They wanted to dismantle Israel into Arab colonies ruled by their appointed kings such as the Kingdom of Jordan or the American backed  House of Saud. They wanted colonies they would control and they were  willing to see and even collaborate in the deaths of millions of Jews to bring it about.

When Israel was founded in 1948 it was after a  prolonged armed campaign against British authority and over British objections on a mere 5000 square miles of land out of a territory nearly ten times that amount. After the 1967 war Israel liberated an  additional mere 2500 square miles of territory it had been entitled to  in the first place. And the world has never stopped demanding that  Israel turn over that land to a terrorist regime that has used it to  launch attacks on Israel and murder Jews.

The Two State Solution is not a formula for any kind of stability or end to the violence. It is meant to take the violence to a whole new level. It is a formula for the destruction of Israel. 17 years of peacemaking  by Israel has produced 17 years of terrorism by the Palestinian Arabs.  Everything sown on the Palestinian Authority, from money to guns, from  autonomy to infrastructure, have come up as dragon's teeth.

Palestine is not a state. It was never a state. It will never be a state. It is  currently ruled by two factions who have both disowned a negotiated  Palestinian state in favor of the destruction of Israel. It is not a  country, it is a weapon.

Palestine is a gun aimed at the head of  Israel with one goal, its destruction. Palestine is a gun aimed at the  head of every Jew in the world, legitimizing the worst and ugliest kinds of bigotry. Palestine is an imaginary place given form as a vicious  myth brainwashing generation after generation of Jordanian and Egyptian  Arabs to call themselves Palestinians and kill and die in the name of  perpetuating a second Holocaust, all for the glory of Allah, Mohammed,  Marx, not to mention Saddam Hussein, Ahmadinejad, the House of Saud, and every cause and ruler with an interest in toppling Israel into the  dust.

Palestine is death. It exists only as a form of living  death by a population taught to see themselves as willing martyrs to the bomb belt from birth. It breathes death, it celebrates death, it  teaches death and preaches death. It is the final ugly end of the hatred and cruelty bottled up in the Arab and Islamic dictatorships of the  region. It is the true face of Islam and its shining reflection in the  mirror of the Western press and diplomats is the true measure of their  Dhimmism.

The Cult of Death in Palestine and the war against Israel is only a preview for the West of things to come. Palestine is  not a place, it is hate and homicide boiled down into myth. Palestine is not only in Israel. It is in Paris and London. It is in Madrid and  Detroit. It is in Sydney and Moscow. It is everywhere that the toxic  brew of Muslim fanaticism and Arab nationalism flows. Its flag is the  flag of death. Its constitution is a death warrant for every free  nation. Its legislature is a smug coven of obese terrorist chieftains  sending their followers off to death with the promise of virgin demons  fornicating with them in Paradise.

Palestine 2.0 is a monster  with only one purpose, to create Holocaust 2.0. That is who needs a  Palestinian state. That is why the far left and the far right are both  so hellbent on bringing one into being. Accepting the Two State Solution means accepting death. Rejecting it means embracing life.

Zechariah 12:3,9:

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a  burdensome stone for all people; And it shall come to pass in that day,  that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Eretz Yisroel

We cannot overstate the importance of Israel, and specifically Jerusalem and the Temple of the Rock (where Muslim conquest and building of a mosque was specifically intended to interfere with the Jews’ holiest site). Eretz Yisroel is the depository of 90% of the world’s wisdom (chochma), a quality that does not come from intelligence or volume of knowledge, but only from G_d. The reason this land has this quality, according to Jewish Kabbalah, is that it is higher in the sefiros, the closest path to G_d. Moreover, the “completion of the soul in eternity” is for Jews dependent upon which location in the land of Israel is lived in, another important spiritual relationship: the level of their souls is their Torah Sh’b’al, which literally means the portion or level of soul that is earned in the earthly life. This can be likened to the Christian “crowns in heaven” earned by specific heroism and behavior on earth, but it makes the place Israel of far greater importance for the Jews than any single place is holy for Christians. Yet Christians should recognize and respect the holiness of Jerusalem and Israel as their heritage as well.

According to Daniel Pipes’ analysis, the conflicting claims of the importance of Jerusalem to Jews versus Muslims boil down to Jewish religious/historical arguments versus Muslim politics. There is little Muslim historical or religious basis for the prominence of Jerusalem for Islam.

“The Jewish connection to Jerusalem is ancient and powerful.  Judaism made Jerusalem a holy city over three thousand years ago, and ever since. In fact, there were no Mosques at any substantial distance from Mecca until after 621, suggesting that the whole interest of Palestine to Muslims also post-dates that time.

One specific argument makes the point that Jerusalem is not a factor in the Qur’an: Jerusalem appears in the  Jewish Bible 669 times and Zion (which usually means Jerusalem,  sometimes the Land of Israel) 154 times, or 823 times in all. The  Christian Bible mentions Jerusalem 154 times and Zion 7 times. In  contrast, the columnist Moshe Kohn notes, Jerusalem and Zion appear as  frequently in the Qur'an "as they do in the Hindu Bhagavad-Gita, the  Taoist Tao-Te Ching, the Buddhist Dhamapada and the Zoroastrian Zend  Avesta which is to say, not once.”

They flooded “Palestine” with hundreds of thousands of people they didn’t want and couldn’t feed during the period 1945-1948. This was done in an effort to cause tension and deny the Jews a homeland. (The name Palestine was invented by the Romans in the 1st cent AD, to honor the Philistines and infuriate the Jews.)

In the late 18th century, the Turks complained bitterly about what a desolate place that area had become due to disease, famine, and pestilence; that the Arab fellahin couldn’t or wouldn’t farm and care for the land. But European Jews and those citified Jews who never left the Middle East began to buy land in purchases approved by the Ottaman Empire’s leaders who wanted the tax revenue desperately.

Jewish settlements increased all through the 19th century. The Arab fellahin, basically migrants, would work for a Jewish farm and then move on to some other place. Occasionally there would be pogroms and massacres of Jews by Arabs, but the Jewish population kept trickling into what had been ancient Judea.

The Arab claim to Jerusalem is false. When Mohammed died Islam had not yet reached as far as Jerusalem. An Egyptian scholar has written about the claim of Mohammed’s death in Jerusalem and stated it to be false; invented by the Caliphate in Damascus in an attempt to gather prestige.

"They were left to test the Israelites to see whether they would obey the Lord's commands, which He had given their forefathers through Moses" (Judg. 3:4).

This was a commandment in the Old Testament. They didn't pass the test. "The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD; they forgot the LORD their God and served the Baals and the Asherahs" ( Judg 3:7-8).

The New Testament tells us to turn the other cheek, but the New Testament is not a peaceful domain at all. Revelation is full of ongoing ultimate conflict, and Jesus is also quoted as follows in Matthew 24:6:

6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and  there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers  places.        8All these are the beginning of sorrows.
